I'm also not concerned with closed stuff (like firmware, SN) or sequence, but with exclusion. For example: I notice a bug, search and find nothing. I raise a new ticket and it gets closed and marked as a dupe, but I can't read the original. So now not only am I closed out of the conversation regarding fixing it, I won't even know when/if it is ever fixed. I guess maybe the comments could be edited/obfuscated if they do indeed contain sensitive info. I know that some other O/S projects hide bug reports related to unfixed security issues, and that I can understand (although many would question the legitimacy of even that).
It's not a big deal, I've only ever run up against issues like this a few times (and it looks like the most recent time was just a misclassification).
