Have you thought about going back to SC 7.0 to see if it is the SBC or some new software or firmware? The reason I ask is that I go three to four days between putting my SBC in the cradle and I am using SC 7.0. I also have a Harmony 1000 that takes the same battery as the SBC. One thing I have noticed about both remotes is that the battery icon shows full charge when in my opinion they are not truly fully charged. If I leave the remote on the charger for an hour or two longer then when the icon gets to full, the remote lasts much longer. I do not know how the charging circuit is designed, but it could similar to hand held radios where at first charge the battery is rapidly charged to get it back to minimum operating usage (ie quick charge mode) and then once at this point switches over to slow deep charge.
