HP have just released a beta version of JDK 1.5 for OpenVMS. It is
likely to be some months before a full version is released. There is
as yet not even a beta for Tru 64 Unix nor for OpenVMS I64 (Itanium).

However, it may not just be those OSes that have yet to get a 1.5 JVM.

I think we need to find out how many people would be affected by this proposal.
