hi Bob,

can halo color be included as a property of each individual atom?  so  
for example:

select carbon
# halos gold (default color)
color halos blue
# carbon halos now blue
select oxygen
# oxygen halos gold
color halos magenta
# oxygen halos now magenta
select carbon, oxygen
# carbon halos blue, oxygen halos magenta


this would be quite helpful for teaching purposes.
