I'm ready for people to test the language business again. Please try:

http://www.stolaf.edu/academics/chemapps/jmol/docs/examples-11/new.htm

Check if the language on the menu does correspond to your locale.
Change the language to verify that it does change.

Open:

http://www.stolaf.edu/academics/chemapps/jmol/docs/examples-11/altloc.htm

Is it still the changed language?

Open

http://www.stolaf.edu/academics/chemapps/jmol/docs/examples-11/twoapp.htm

and set the language on one of the applets. Is it changed also
automatically on the other applet?

This isn't quite done, but I'm hoping this works. You should be able to
set the language once,
and then have it that language for as long as you have your browser open.
