Nicolas wrote a nice set of instructions for translating at http://wiki.jmol.org:81/index.php/Internationalisation I maintain the Spanish translation of interface using Tortoise SVN for getting the files from SVN server at SourceForge, poEdit for the translation (both under Windows) and then Tortoise SVN again for uploading --comitting-- the updated files. It's an easy process, although a great lot of things to translate now!
