yes, this rings a bitter bell...(add to the scenario the fact that as a
single woman you've made it clear that you have NO interest in dating the
boss)

here is (4)...the boss leaves for another position (finally) & leaves the
board with the recommendation to the board that everyone but YOU (with a
remarkable & documentable track record) receive the long debated recommended
retirement plan (which would have taken away from his profit/loss statement
so he never implemented the plan until he was gone)...

the good news? you stuck it out & the HR person knows this is BS
(harrassment & all...before sexual harrassment was even a word) but you
stayed because you had no choice & maybe you felt that somehow you might get
something better...somehow...then...miracles of miracles...he left & his
reputation as being slimely & unethical came out & some influential folks
finally echoed that...

the restults? not only did you get that retirement plan but you got that
promotion that you deserved & wanted...

the lesson i learned so profoundly here was that if you really want it, you
can have it...just when i thought that the liars & cheaters may have
inherited the earth...i found out that karma really does work...(a good
lesson to remember at the present moment)

so...jim, i really know what you are going through...if its not at all what
you want & you can leave...go...but if there is something there that you
want, stay...the power structure may change in your favor...
