No Sharon, I spend most of my time on this list proving up every word I say most of the time. When I do back myself up, people still diss and attack me and don't even read what I post to prove myself or mischaraterize what I say where I have to post and repost to clarify myself. The constant deconstuction of what I write is a tactic and I am well aware of it. I don't know what I have to say over and over to get it through. I don't care at all what any liberal wants to say on this list about Bush, war or whatever. When I think people are factually wrong, or when I can't stand tokeep quiet anymore, I try to put some facts up. I am absolutely not saying people have no right to criticize and say whatever they want. I am speaking from my own heart. If you really want to know what I am talking about go back and read all the posts back from 9/11/01 and my response to many of them. If you see nothing there, that is fine - I am only speaking for myself, perhaps - or perhaps not. I listen to everyone's opinions whether I agree with them or not. I have rarely if ever, asked anyone to "prove" them to me. Yet many of you do that to me every time I post.
> Indeed, in response to Kate's muses over whether we could all get along > here, you implied that people had been able to get along in the past but > that this may not be the case now. Is this true? I don't think I said people were able to get along better, but that people had more respectful and thoughtful debates and differences of opinions. There has been more "bullying" and nastiness in recent years and I am not the only one who has said this in the past few days, nor am I the only one who sees it that way. It's neither here nor there. If you disagree, that's fine. Kakki
