hi alison e. (now in NYC!) -- thanks for the ani tips.
i really don't know why i didn't love "dilate" (that's
the one with the cover of "amazing grace").  i liked
a few songs, the first two or three on the record, but then
i kept tuning out.  still, all my students (i teach at NYU --
but they usually teach ME about music) have for years
and years raved about nothing but ani, so i think i will
go further into her stuff.

and report back, of course!

i have one liz phair, the older one with "supernova"
on it -- i played it nonstop my first year of college.
i should check out whitechocolate...
