agreed. i can say though, if i posted the same sentence as clark:

"That Bush believes in the myth of Jesus makes me completely distrust him as
it
shows his susceptibility to magical thinking. "

and changed the word jesus to homosexuality, holy hell would have broken out
on this list. is it right to judge someone because of their religion any
more than their sexuality? is that not what's being done in this sentence?

deeper issuse of abortion and choice i would think we could never find
comonality across a group like this. hell, we can't even agree if a boom
boom pachyderm is schlong or drum solo. ( personally, on that one, since i've
seen the poem penolope, and her longing for metamorphic cocks, i will always
believe a boom boom is a schlong ) so i'm hoping this stuff ends soon. i
was relieved when the election stuff died down and now it's come back in a
new form.

i am a christian. i've felt the warmth of god's hands around my heart. i
don't think that makes me given to myth, magic, or distrust. and i admire
dubya's humility to be able to admit he had a drinking problem, go to god
with it, and beat it.
