Biggest problem .NET is going to have, IMHO, is that it's going to have to
fill the same space that J2EE already has. Who knows? I'm of the opinion
that .NET will be good for J2EE, really, and I think MS will continue their
great work on scalability, just like they always have. (sarcasm intended. :)
I'd also add that a given language tends to lend itself to acheiving certain
tasks...
