We ran each RR on a VM on a dedicate box. That one box only ran that one VM which represented that one RR.

Treat the thing like a router, not like a cloud.

The benefit with RR's on x86 is the performance gain over a long enough period (RAM and CPU, in spite of the DFZ growth), not the server's multi-tasking capabilities.
