Thank you for replying. This seem to be an Android configuration? Or is it a K-9 Mail one? I'm not so familiar with Android details because I don't use one. So I must say things as clear as possible to my friend. I'll be able to try myself to find this background sync configuration only in a few days, but if things seems to be easy enough I'll send them as SMS. > 2. What are your "outgoing server" settings? The server configuration that I use were found in official Microsoft pages. So I assume they are as correct as possible: 1. Receiving (and it worked, although the automatic pooling did not work) a. IMAP server -> imap-mail.outlook.com b. port -> 993 c. secure connection -> yes, SSL 2. Sending: a. SMTP server-> smtp-mail.outlook.com b. port -> 587 c. auth-> yes d. secure connection-> TLS e. nome do usuário -> [username]@hotmail.com (full email address as username) There was 3 messages in the outgoing folder. When I chose the option in its menu and chose the option to "send messages now", K-9 tried to send them. But after a few seconds it shows an error message saying that it failed, but gives no information about what failed. I have repeated this try a few times after assuring the Internet connection was working with other programs and with a manual pool for new mail. No use. > > Date: Saturday, January 23, 2016 08:57:06 -0300 > > From: Balaco Baco <[email protected]> > > > > Still no answer... :( > > > > Is there any other user here that has a hotmail account with K-9? > > Please point me what you think might be missing.
