Yes, I did all that, there is still no proper Start Button, as I explained in
my previous e-mail. There is an icon that takes me to the installation over and
over again! 

Why previous correspondence does not appear under this one, I don't know. Would
like to have a go at kdenlive, as I need a new editor, but, things are not
working. Does it have background removal possibilities? Otherwise it won't suit
me anyway!

@Francisca, please try not to quote all the previous replies in your message.
Instead target the specific portion (like i did above) so the ticket is still
readable (without walls of text that are redundant). Thank you.

So you uninstalled, removed the config file and re-installed Kdenlive and you
still are encountering a problem ?
