Thanks, tried part of it, never found any of those folders after uninstalling,
so I give up. Anyway, that link kdenlive-25.12.2_standalone.exe 10 seems to e
for Windows 10 and I have 11. Great that this software is free, but it should
not be this difficult to install and uninstall and anyway, that option to click
on that link, never appeared, the thing only asks if you want to install it and
where, not which version!

Just don't reply via email ;-)

Please do the following on your computer:
1. Uninstall Kdenlive via the Windows > Settings > Apps menu 2. Go to
C:\Program Files and delete the folder kdenlive 3. Go to
C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Local and delete the folder kdenlive and the
files kdeglobals, kdenlive-layoutsrc, and kdenliverc 4. Go to
C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Roaming and delete the folder kdenlive 5. Go
to C:\Users\<your_user_name>\Application Data and delete the folder kdenlive 6.
Go to C:\Users\<your_user_name>\Local Settings and delete the folders kdenlive,
knewstuff3, and kxmlgui5 7. Go to the Kdenlive home page, click on Downloads,
and download the Windows standalone version
(https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/25.12/windows/kdenlive-25.12.2_standalone.exe)
8. Go to the Downloads folder on your computer (usually
C:\Users\<your_user_name>\Downloads)
9. Double-click on kdenlive-25.12.2_standalone.exe 10. For now leave everything
as it is and click on Extract 11. This will create a folder in Downloads called
kdenlive-25.12.2_standalone 12. Once extraction is finished, go to that folder
and then open the folder "bin"
13. Find the file kdenlive.exe and double-click on it

If everything is fine and Kdenlive started and you can work with it, do this:
1. Go to the folder where kdenlive.exe is 2. Right-click on it, select Pin to
Start (if you want to make it an entry in the Windows 11 Start Menu) or click
on Show more options, then select Pin to Taskbar (if you want to have Kdenlive
accessible from the Taskbar), or select Send to > Desktop (create Shortcut) if
you want to access Kdenlive from the Desktop
