It sounds like Plasma In the logs, I don't see anything past when the system finished booting, and nothing unusual in the boot logs. In the Desktop Folder Settings page, if you click Icons, do you have the alignment as Right-to-Left by any chance? There had been a similar bug that had been fixed in Plasma 6.4.1. Can you share a screenshot of that settings page? It's not likely, but possible that there's a permissions problem for the folder where the desktop icons are. In the same Desktop Folder Settings page, if you click on the Location icon on the left, is it set to Desktop folder?
