SUMMARY
Shortcuts for System Settings, Discover and Info Center break during session:
entries appear as raw .desktop filenames and clicking them shows "Dossier
inconnu d'application" error after some time.
DESCRIPTION
On Plasma 6.7.91 (6.8 beta), the shortcuts for System Settings, Disvover and
Info Center break after the system has been running for a while.
Shortly after a reboot, the shortcuts work correctly. Later in the session, the
entries appear as raw .desktop files (systemsettings.desktop,
org.kde.kinfocenter.desktop, org.kde.discover.desktop) rather than proper
application entries, and clicking them opens an error dialog titled "Dossier
inconnu d'application" ("Unknown application folder").
Applications launch normally from a terminal.
Verified on two separate installations of the Plasma 6.8 beta.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
- Reboot the system.
- Confirm the System Settings and Info Center shortcuts in Kickoff work
correctly.
- Use the system normally for a while
- Click the System Settings or Info Center entries in Kickoff again
OBSERVED RESULT
After some time in the session, the entries appear as raw .desktop filenames
rather than proper application entries, and clicking them opens an error
dialog: "Dossier inconnu d'application". The applications do not launch.
EXPECTED RESULT
The shortcuts should keep resolving to the actual applications (shown with
their proper names and icons) throughout the session, and clicking them should
launch System Settings / Info Center.
