Am subscribed to bayantel and I think ang coverage nila is nasa selected areas
lang. :P im in up diliman area and ang ako speed usually nasa 700kbps-900kbps
(plan 899). Before, ang plan 899 nasa 384kbps lang with SOD up to 768kbps, but
nag-upgrade na sila, ang plan 899 nasa 768kbps na and SOD na 1Mbps. So far la
pako ngkaproblema sako connection.

Pero if ever magkaproblema man gani dali ra kau nila i-fix kay naa man P500
rebate ang subscriber if dili ma-fix ang problem within 24 hr. Mao abtik pa sa
sila sa kilat.

balay 2 blocks away tapos walay coverage ang eastern telecom sa amo?!!? grabe
ka way klaro =P this zoning $hit doesnt make sense :P mas paspas pa ka both up
and downstream sa akong pldt. more than a year na ko subscribed to their 2mb
plan and hangtod karon ang pinakataas nako nga nakuha is less than 300KB
downstream :(

lami na gyud kaayo og balhin... unless naay paagi nga mamaximize nako ang
availability sa bandwidth.

as for weroam, there are two versions. ambot kung nahuman na og recall ang
pldt sa tanan nila GSM units and replace with 3G capable ones. pero i am
partial to brents experience because i had the same. its really just like
surfing on your cellphone. good connection where 3g signals persist. kung wala,
nah, maoy kaayo :)

isn't there bayantel in CDO? kamusta ni cya na ISP?

Does SmartBro's plug-in gadget use the GSM network for connecting to the
internet?
If yes, I think if your area has 3G (better if HSDPA), then the connection
would be fine (max 384kbps), but there are some times that the connection would
just drop for no reason at all (even if the signal is strong), I've experienced
this when using Smart's 3G connection via celfone and PLDT's WeRoam service
(both using Smart's GSM network). EDGE would suffice light web surfing needs or
when viewing websites one at a time.

By the way, naa bay 3G nga signal ang Smart sa Malaybalay City, dapit sa
Landing/Casisang area?

Sa balay dre sa Manila, kay naka subscribe ko sa Eastern Telecoms, 384kbps nga
SDSL, ma max out nko pirme ang 384kbps downstream pag ga surf or pag ga
download kog files via bit torrent. Also, ma max out pod ang 384kbps nga
upstream pag ga seed kog files after downloading. so far kas-a ra ko ka
service.

In Metro Manila, PLDT is the good one. aside from PhilCom (Makati) with
direct peering to U.S and it's good also.

In the province (CDO), you can have SmartBRO.
