Oh ok, but I don't think the speed (even at 3G/HSPDA speeds) a subscriber gets 
via Smartbro's plug-in device could drown the mobo's chipset's throughput 
limit. I do experience this but only when copying/moving data to/from my 
external hard drive.

The thing in question is not about how it is connected (USB) but rather, it is 
about the bandwidth that the connection (USB) supports. Plus considering that 
on certain mobos there are chipset bandwidth limits plus additional CPU 
overhead specially for onboard USB controllers.
