>>300KB = 2400kbps i think is more than 2MB? so hinay diay kaayo... 300KB is even less than half a megabyte. And dili pa gyud na constant speed.
pangkwartahay man kaayo ang mga service providers(or kanang middle-man providers), we dont need to learn telecom concepts(SDH,SONET,TMF,etc) to know that speeds advertised are way above the real thing that end-customers would be using. The marketing arm of these companies put in gray neutral phrases like "actual speed may vary"... when in truth it means "actual speed will be significantly lower". Words like "may" sends false impression to viewers/readers/audience/. A lot of these words are used in advertising and mass comm gimmicks. Ex: "symptoms may persist", "5/10 doctors recommend", "Faster than the average brand". Of course, these service providers have their own network/telecom or engineering people who really know that their marketing ppl are stretching the truth... but hey, this world is a business-oriented world. And even the marketing arm ppl are just pawns of other ppl urging them to think of more "gray and misleading" phrases for their product promotions. Pero one question lang. ngano nag subscribe mo anang mga services even though kabalo mo that a saleman's promise is only as good before it is sold? Dah! nganong ni-enter! :D sowee kaayo don, sans, and others Naa bay legal na options ma take against aning mga providers? Sobra naman gud ka-misleading, Sa mga medicines and drugs naa man BFAD.. daghan pud international organizations na ga counter check sa mga claims ani sa mga pharma companies.. pero how about sa service provider industries? kinsa ga counter check na at least 60% true ilang gipang advertise or promote? earl lim wrote: > "pasmo kaayo bay duol ra kaayo ta og balay 2 blocks away tapos walay > coverage ang eastern telecom sa amo?!!? grabe ka way klaro =P this > zoning $hit doesnt make sense :P mas paspas pa ka both up and > downstream sa akong pldt. more than a year na ko subscribed to their > 2mb plan and hangtod karon ang pinakataas nako nga nakuha is less than > 300KB downstream :( " > > > 300KB = 2400kbps i think is more than 2MB? > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _________________________________________________ > Kagay-Anon Linux Users' Group (KLUG) Mailing List > [email protected] (http://cdo.linux.org.ph) > Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph _________________________________________________ Kagay-Anon Linux Users' Group (KLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (http://cdo.linux.org.ph) Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
