1) The modern idea of social theory is that we avoid the situation
where the chopping off of heads is necessary.

I think you have it completely backwards.  Corporations are the first
on the chopping block of public opinion.  Governments enjoy a
legitimacy that private enterprises couldn't hope to have.  With
corporations it's: "Bad bad bad!  Sue sue sue!".  With governments
it's: "Bad!  But don't get rid of it, of course!  We'll try to reform
it."

Voluntary.  Forced.  Voluntary.  Forced.  One.  The other.
