It's beer. Yeay beer! Oops, that's a different brand. But it's still beer!
I worked there once. I didn't get free beer, but my co-workers had a couple of days before I got there. I was only a temp, not a permanent employee.
Only Microsoft Word attachments will be reviewed.
Nowhere in the email does Sabrina say whether the job involves Linux/Unix or is Windows-specific. But the above line answers it, I guess. *Only* Word attachments? Please... lol Not that I'd turn down a job just because of that. But since I'm not in the market for a job, I scoff! Only Word attachments... What is this world coming to? The company I work at is very Windows friendly. Whenever a new employee is hired it's announced via email-with-attached-Word-document. It gives the name and position and a nifty picture of festive balloons. Not even Microsoft Outlook handles Microsoft Word documents seamlessly, and so one is required to open the Word document as an attachment like any other, making the whole deal seem rather stupid. To a common (computing) sense aficionado such as myself, anyway. Just what information is a Word document going to convey that a text document won't? Are you really going to be able to better differentiate between candidates if you require them to submit Word documents? -todd -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
