You want to roll back to an earlier revision with no intervening work
being saved? Way _way_ too much work! Check out pre-A. Check in pre-A
with "accept mine." Enter an appropriate change list comment ("dropping
three revisions of bozo work"). All done. Or did I not understand the
problem?

Nope, you understood. And you gave a better answer than our SCM guy here- I was told to do what I said above- create a branch and use that to integrate. It must have been the build guy on call that week, he didn't know how to do it. Ok, scratch one pet peeve.
