Probably the most astounding point I can try to leave you with is
that copyright was never designed to subsidize creation but rather
to subsidize *distribution*.  It was an idea invented by printers to benefit
printers.  Authors never had a say in the matter.

400 years laters things are the same!  Who are the people championing
copyright?  The distributors! (record companies, Hollywood, publishers, etc.)

Sure there are a few stars like Beatles, Stephen King and Spielberg but
*vast majority* of creators see little if any copyright revenue!  Do a poll of
people you know (e.g. KPLUG).  How many of them make *any* copyright $?
If you find someone...I'll bet he/she doesn't make much.

So it can't be true that copyright is what is motivating 99.99% of the
creativity going on!
