How about some to support yours?? The information in your last few posts has been at worst completely inaccurate, or at best unclearly communicated. You're not comparing apples to apples. The Core Duo is the continuation of the Pentium M chip, packaged up as a dual core. It's a continuation of older 7th generation x86 technology, even though it was given the "Core" name. And yes, it's 32 bit. But so is an Athlon XP. Not really news.

But the 8th generation Core 2 architecture, including the Core 2 Duo (both "Merom" for laptops and "Conroe" for desktops) and the newest "Woodcrest" Xeons are indeed 64 bit chips and are what you should be comparing to AMD's Socket AM2 processors (X2 for desktops, and Opteron for servers).
