And how is this love? This sounds more like macho, ego, and martyrdom. That isn't the love I know, the love my wife and I share. Each of us would do almost anything for the other, but neither of us would give our life for the other. That doesn't help anything. Nor would we want the other to if the tables were turned.


"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." That's how it's love.


I'm not saying that our way of looking at these things is right or better, just that it's different and it works well for us.
