Ok... I take some of what I said back. If you use proprietary drivers from
ATI or Nvidia, you can mess with the overscanning, but you're going to blur
the image even more.

PC/MAC=>Overscan adjust=>DVI/HMDI=>HDTV=>Overscan adjust=>VERY blured image

If you are using DVI the don't mess with the settings on the PC/MAC, and
just mess with the setup on the HDTV. Turnoff the overscan on the HDTV input
from the PC/MAC.

PC/MAC=>DVI/HMDI=>HDTV=>Best image/Native Resolution

I remember the days of my Amiga too. I used my for Music(Octamed) and games.
Those were the days.

No as far as buying from a brick-and-mortar "Bestbuy, Fry's, Wall-mart", I'd
rather buy online and get the best bang for the buck.

If I was to buy in town, I'd goto a mom-n-pop computer shop befor I'd have
to goto Fry's or Bestbuy. I support locally owned stores, but the big guys
don't need any help from us to stay in business.
