I picked up a mid-grade ATI HD2400XT PCI Express graphics card at Best Deal
computers for $109. The box stated that I would need at least a 550 Watt
power supply, but turns out that my el-cheapo EMachine ran the card just
fine with the existing power supply. The card has two DVI out and one
Svideo out and came with several plugs to convert the DVI to VGA or HDMI and
one for HD. I'm running the latest Slackware on my desktop and after
downloading the ATI drivers and installing them, X came up perfectly. No
major tweaking except to make the fonts bigger so I could actually see it.
My TV did an auto fit so I didn't have to mess with that either.

Overall a painless process.
