Unfortunately, as you can see, DOS formatted EOL does not fix the problem. The DOS formatted EOL is stripped out just like the Unix formatted EOL. :(

If I'm not mistaken, the bottom should look like:

What is your fortune file look like?

According to
http://mozext.achimonline.de/signatureswitch_cookie_signature.php

I'd guess that you would want to have your fortune file resemble

=============================================================================
Ralph
---------------
$
Some random quote here

And another quote
following it.
-Anon
%
Etc.
-Ibid

...
=============================================================================

He also mentions using HTML in the signatures -- try inserting a <br>
and see if he strips those out when generating text-only messages, but
leaves in the newlines.

And finally, remember, try to be (mostly) McQuary-compliant.

Thank you Stewart. That (the <br>) was the secret sauce. :)

I was unaware of the HTML angle (or didn't realize it's importance and forthwith forgot it altogether).

I am at a loss regarding the "McQuary-compliant" remark.

(But now I can start the cut and paste process between the KSig file and what is to be my new sig file.)
