I purchased Crossover Office because I'd read that iTunes worked under it on
Linux. Of course being the impulsive person that I am, I didn't read far
enough. The most recent version of iTunes that people had gotten working
under cxoffice was 4.xsomething. It took me some time, but I eventually
found someone hosting an iTunes.exe repository for older versions. I got it
to run, but iirc, my iPod rejected it because I'd already been using a later
version. I haven't tried in a while, but things may have improved since my
first attempt about 9 months ago.
