Ick. I play tenor, and there's no *way* you could have a clarinet
embouchure without severe neck and arm cramps. Besides, I use a metal
mouthpiece with a long facing (big gap between mouthpiece and reed),
which would sound horrible at that angle.

I majored in Music as well, though I did end up going through with it.
My BA is in Theory & Composition, though I've been a computer guy all
my life and I worked in university IT during the summer. I spent
several years after college as an editor for a local educational music
publisher, though I did some sysadmin work as well since I was the
most tech-savvy guy in the office.

When the boss there refused to recognize keeping all the workstations
running properly as actual work and gave me sucky raises ("I don't see
any problems going on," which should have been evidence that I was
doing it *right*), I left and switched to IT full-time.
