This is why I always enjoyed the UNIX trend of creating little
languages, and the day-to-day tasks of making the computer do what you
want it to do often consisting of writing a little program. That's fun.

Now I'm told that I can't expect computer users to be programmers. Why
not? Isn't that the fun part?

No. We have to minimize the number of languages. Force your tools to
embed some general language instead of creating a tiny one that is
exactly suited to the task.

"Professional" shouldn't stop the fun. But to many, it seems, "professional"
is about wearing a tie.... Not in doing a good job.
