Microsoft Outlook has the option to let mail sit in the Outbox for a while before it is sent. This helps avoid lots of the mistakes that one recognizes in the second after hitting the send button. I wish there was a similar option for Thunderbird.

Doesn't File->Offline->Work Offline do the right thing?

When working in offline mode, does Firefox still retrieve mail automatically? Probably not. Also, I would have to go through the extra step of switching back to online mode to actually get the message sent out. I would prefer that it would hold pending outgoing messages for a configurable amount of time before actually sending them. This way, there is no extra work for me and I still get the mistake protection.

It isn't that big of a deal, but it would be a nice-to-have feature.
