That's my big beef with proprietary vs. open source. If proprietary

C++ sucks because of cognitive load. Period. I have to pull out, at
minimum, 6 different books before programming in C++: Effective C++,
More Effective C++, Effective STL, Exceptional C++, The STL Reference
and Tutorial, and the IOStreams Reference.
That's too much cognitive load. Sorry. Practically *any* language is
better.
