I'll point out that VI also has a confirm mode if you want it. :-)
You missed the point.
It's not about "does this have feature X". It's about "how do I find
out about feature X" and "how do I learn feature X".
With vi, I *must* have some manual/reference document in front of me.
With emacs, it gives me a *little* discoverability and assistance
without getting in my way.
Again, different strokes, YMMV, YAGNI, etc.
