I guess it depends on what you are looking for. You could just do "M-x"
and start typing "search" and see what shows up. You could do an
"apropos" to find search commands. You could do a "where is" query to
find out what short cut is bound to search-and-replace, or you could
just type in "M-x search-and-replace" and let Emacs remind you what the
short cut is. Oh, or you could go to the info pages for emacs and look
for search and replace, but who wants to read docs when you can just get
on with your work?
