This article says installing ANY ADS-B equipment may not be an option for 
experimentals.

Also, generally, some reader comments suggest that ADS-B will be used for "user 
fees" and to "generate violations" since your plane is constantly reporting 
such precise location info that getting a few feet too close to an obstacle, or 
not high enough over "congested areas" to effect a safe power off landing, and 
so on.
This will be required in Class A,B,C airspace, within 30NM of a Class-B 
airport, Over B and C, in Class -E above 10,000MSL (except where the terrain is 
higher), and within 12NM from the coastline, above 3000MSL. 
One exception is aircraft certified without an electrical system. Maybe my 
purist idea to replicate Ken Rand's KR1 should hold true and include no 
electrical system (hand prop).
