A couple of days ago our phones started behaving oddly. Let me see if I can explain it. Background: - KX-TD1232-4 KSU, with 2 x KX-TD170 - KX-TVS200 VPS - 8 incoming analog lines, no CID on any of the lines We're in Qwest territory, but our LD and local line provider is McCleod. For tracking purposes, we've got our outgoing calling set up through McCleod to require employees to enter a 3-digit code for toll calls. After a user dials a toll call they get a tone similar to a dial tone. They enter their user code, then the number is rung through. Now the problem: When an outside caller, dialing _long_distance_ dials into our main number, they get prompted with the McCleod tone. If they enter a code (I don't think the codes are verified - you can enter anything you like) they then get forwarded to the telephone number of a cell phone belonging to one of our employees. Our phone system never rings. That cell phone number happens to be a toll call from our office. Does this happen on all CO lines coming in? If so, is it consistent (can you duplicate)? If so, then disconnect the CO from the switch and see if it still happens. If it doesn't then watch the CO buttons to see if 2 lines (one in one out) are being used. Keep us posted. _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
