Thanks for the information. It's a good news that OpenOffice is
already there in Hindi.
I will be glad to help translate the homepage. Please inform me how to
proceed in this regard.
it's a good start to take the webpages of the "xx" area. These are
working as template for new languages or when they need an improvement.
Of course it's also possible to work on a part of it and the remaining
part later.
Marcus
Great!
First of all (if not already done), you should subscribe to this
mailing-list, otherwise you might miss some information. See:
https://openoffice.apache.org/mailing-lists.html#localization-mailing-list-public
Further informations about our localization process can be found here:
https://openoffice.apache.org/translate.html
For the start, I will send you some translatable strings, e.g.:
EN: search
HI:
EN: language
HI:
EN: The Free and Open Productivity Suite
HI:
EN: Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5 released!
HI:
EN: The Apache OpenOffice Project Announces Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5
HI:
Just reply to this mail and translate the strings inline. This way Hindi
characters should be preserved and others will be able to contribute to
the translation process. I will then update the webpage accordingly.
Note that Apache OpenOffice, OpenOffice, OpenOffice.org and other terms
like these are trademarks and must not be translated!
Kind regards, Matthias
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Dinesh zope

There already is a version of OpenOffice in Hindi:
https://www.openoffice.org/hi/download/index.html
The translation to Hindi is currently at 100%:
https://translate.apache.org/hi/aoo40/
But translation can always be improved (and extended for AOO 4.2.0).
What we are looking for on the homepage is someone to help us translate
the page itself.
So it depends on what you are looking for... ;-)
Kind regards, Matthias
