This is almost the exact discussion I was in when Alien Swarm was
released and people didn't play custom campaigns. Then without valve
updates they stopped playing it all together. It's difficult to get a good
team of players and ones that know the maps and even harder to get them to
play that long. That's why people stick to stock campaigns -everyone knows
the maps.
