Not being a regular poster on Arachne but a lurker

Hope to hear from you more often in the future

I felt I needed to come
out and let you all know about the wonderful time that was had by all at the
first "Lace at Sweet Briar", in Virginia this past week.

I'm glad to hear you've enjoyed it and so will Clay be, once she "comes back to herself", afer the marathon.

A great big thank you to Clay Blackwell and her staff

Let me introduce "Clay's staff"... :) Her one head (filled with many ideas), her two hands, her two legs... And her heart, which got her "a little help from her friends". Hopefully, the future events will be easier/less demanding on her, as the idea of a regular lace week in the South takes flight.

I was "a peripheral" -- shuttling one of the participants, who flew in from Oregon -- and didn't attend myself, but from everything I heard, the event went as smoothly as it was possible for one person to make it, which has all of us who live in the vicinity, hoping that there'll be many repeats, in the years to come.

Try this retreat once and believe me you will be hooked!
