Definitely a molinillo - a Mexican hot chocolate stirrer. Not a whisk, per
se, but you put it into the cup, place the handle between your palms and rub
it back and forth to froth up the milk and mix in the chocolate. They can
be quite ornate. Check out this web-site for a photo and more info.

Lace content: I finally managed to work on a Flanders project this
afternoon that had been put on hold for the past few weeks. Between some
travel, a week of DD and her new husband visiting (his first trip to Europe)
and throwing a promotion party for DH last night with 100 of our closest
friends, there's not been much time for anything else. We did of course,
make the mandatory and always enjoyable trip to Bruges where I finally
picked up a portable lace pillow stand.
Dona in Maisieres Belgium on a rainy, cold, blustery day. Perfect for
staying in and making lace.
Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've
decided to look beyond the imperfections."
