here the competitions have a theme and exact dates for the size of it,
so that all works are more or less equal in that. And I think a system
about the special points of a work are important
therefore the first point is to find out which work represent this
theme.
the next one in which way, perhaps in a totaly new view or a very clear
one or in a more sophisticated one is it designed,
and than how it is done and are the colors, if there are some, fitting
to the idea.
And I think a system with points for those items would help.
Competitions were everybody sending in something are more difficult for
beginners than if there are several different levels. Bu on the other
hand not every lace-teacher has enough time to do much own works and
therefore are better in knowledge but not necessairely in skill too.
I think taking part in compettion first should be for the fun of it.
I, myself didn't do the job of juror very often yet but I tried to be
fair and will do so in future.
