I think that Antje means that it is one of her subscribers scanning the 
magazine and putting it, completely illegally, in the public domain. 

Quite apart from the moral aspect, I do wonder why someone would be so 
'altruistic' that they would want to do this. If I had paid the subscription 
for something, why would I immediately want to share it with the world so it 
costs them nothing? 

And even if it is a group of people who are sharing the cost between them, 
wouldn't you think they'd just email the illegal copy to the others in the 
syndicate who have paid a contribution?
