Hi All,

I am not a computer expert, but I know that arachne is a majordomo mailing list working on a unix computer.

All 'arachne' does is receive an email and bounce (reflect) it out to everyone on a specific list.

Except that in addition, 'arachne' bundles emails into a package for a 'digest' version.

I receive the digest version and although there is the occasional missing message, I've always assumed it is to do with the bundling process with a message being too large for one digest and somehow not getting in to the next. Those lost messages never belong to any one particular sender, but are quite random and rare. Certainly the sources of missing messages (Jeri, Devon, Jacquie all appear in the digests).

In other words, the arachne majordomo and server are working fine and if anyone on the list is not in receipt of an email it is much more likely to be the receiving server / computer / email software. I can only suggest that those with problems pick over their email settings with a fine-tooth comb.

May be Avital can offer further insight.

Best wishes,
Jane
New Forest.

PS. Nearly forgot! Lace content - I demonstrated lace for a day in Christchurch Priory last week for a 'Living Arts' exhibition. Pleased to have a steady trickle of interested people watching and asking questions. But I'm sorry to say it never occurred to me to wear any lace! What a good idea (thanks Jeri). I must think of something suitable to make.
