Many thanks Amanda for the explanation of why certain messages go missing.
We have a similar problem with another chat group I belong to, and I will
pass this on to those who are affected.

My biggest problem with Arachne (I use Explorer, but nothing goes into Spam
and I don't miss any messages) is that many messages get truncated, it seems
to be as soon as the sender uses some form of punctuation other than a full
stop or comma. If the subject is interesting (like yours Alex recently on
Bucks picots!), I immediately go over to my internet where I have a direct
link to the Arachne archives as a bookmark on my top bar, and read the
message there.

As you say, these mailing lists are a tiny and shrinking part of the
internet, and it's not likely that this could ever be fixed, so I've had to
find my own way round the problem.

Hi! It's your friendly local (...ok, Philadelphia-based) lace-making
systems administrator. I think I can tell you what's going wrong.
