Worth a try Joseph! Something to know, cloth stitch in bobbin lace indeed resembles plain weave, however in constructing it in bobbin lace we weave two rows at each pass. Plain weave on a loom is one row, one pass, as for any woven pattern I think ...though I'd be pleased to be shown otherwise. It reasonably easy to add bobbin lace to weaving, making use of a long fringe for example.
