A test reveals this is quite dangerous: if you have the user-grammar.xml 
in the settings directory of LibreOffice, LO will simply remove your 
file without warning if you uninstall LT. I assume the same might happen 
on LT updates. So the safer way seems to be to use XML includes, as 
discussed elsewhere in this thread.
