The Mozilla project seems to have a history of making bad decisions when it comes to image formats, image processing, and target platforms. It seems that minimizing executable size and being as much like Microsoft IE as possible dominates the decision making. Copying ideas is seen as good and true innovation is seen as bad. Previously they discarded the innovative MNG and JNG file formats and preferred the flimsy GIF format. Now it seems that they are discarding lcms without giving it a proper chance.
