Maybe I'm not a hardcore Linux user then, because I've never felt that way. I've invested time in both Windows and Linux, and I feel like Linux has given me a much greater return on investment, but I can see how someone might feel otherwise. Who am I to judge who's right? > Now perhaps this is a bit picky but I would love to be able to respond > and participate in this mailing list within my current level of > experience and interests without feeling as though my ideas will be put > down by the Linux Nazis (not literal Nazi's, you know what I mean). But Mono, the open source .Net compatible platform, is not yet very mature compared with Java or Python. Have you spent time with Python? AFAICT, the Python community actually has more Windows developers than Linux developers, so support for Windows is abundant. I know of many brilliant people in the Python community who feel, like you, that Windows is superior to Linux in deep ways. You needn't feel alone. :-) Shane _______________________________________________ Ldsoss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ldsoss.org/mailman/listinfo/ldsoss
